Highlights
■ Treasury gross coupon issuance totaled $436.2 billion year-to-date (YTD), up 5.5 percent from $413.5 billion during the first six months of last year.
■ Federal agencies’ long-term issuance totaled $364.5 billion YTD, up 5.8 percent from $344.4 billion last year.
■ Long-term municipal volume totaled $178.1 billion YTD, down 14.7 percent from $209.8 billion last year.
■ Corporate bond issuance totaled $421.4 billion YTD 2006, up 17.3 percent from $359.3 billion last year.
■ Asset-backed issuance totaled $471.7 billion YTD, down 18.0 percent from $575.3 billion a year ago.
■ Mortgage-related issuance totaled $992.2 billion YTD, up 16.6 percent from $855.4 billion last year.
■ Total outstanding money market volume, including commercial paper, large time deposits and bankers’ acceptances, totaled $3.70 trillion as of June 30.
